ineluctable emotions

As the
Moon shines in the night
The oceans rise
Towards you
Owing to the seduction you administer
I sit on those cold nights
Wait for you
Waist deep in your promises
Deeper than the color of a rose
Is my lust for you
When you enfold me
Like the wine reserved in oak
I flutter
Tonight I got you where I want you
Closer I can tell you anything
You are my missing puzzle piece
That I sing
The spaces between my fingers are
Right where yours fit perfectly
Through all the science and history
I cant explain your effects on me
If vanity it is than be it!! ~

The Excitement of doing something new

Whenever we think of doing something new , we face many things before us. The different feelings of a human heart  thrill and fear. That feeling is because of the new step ahead , the  unknown path which will be known to everyone because of you and that will be wholly your creativity . And the fear is because of the failure of the step or the criticism by others, which let your moral down.
When i was a child the first excitement  from which i go through was when i took my first step . I started walking without any support , i was on my own legs ready to walk , run and play .That feeling of excitement is still in my eyes .Yes the other feeling also exist there ,the feeling  of fear which was there due to terror of falling down and getting hurt.

Then in my life comes the real time to face the world i.e the first day of my school when i was away from my mom dad and was surrounded by unknown people .It was totally thrilled feeling which i was going through.Yes it had some excitement too but that was overcoming by the fear.
Everyone has gone through that phase , you can yourself imagine when you are in a friendly environment for 4 years your mom is always with you and suddenly a change comes your way

I love the winter in your eyes

Winter of my eyes
took flight
Did you see?
These are not the same eyes
colors of which you would patiently decipher
sitting under the sun
for hours
gray dreams refusing to dissolve
in waters of Lethe.
My hands clutch autumn now
My feet feel nostalgic
Spring in my veins crawls back
My eyes hid that one dream
in the rubble of countless others.
I had to.
Didn’t you see how they gazed?
They, who trampled our fields of saffron?
They who murdered the color
and smeared it on their foreheads.
We carry gallows around our necks
Do you hear the sound of fetters?
I may not write to you again
I need to find the key
I know you saw me
Carrying my heart in my eyes
I heard the rain rattling against my window
all night
You thought I wouldn’t know
What can I say?
I still carry you in my each sigh
But for now my love
I need to go
to carve epitaphs
With delicacy and precision
One dies
The other is born
They only give us numbers
But poets hate numbers
And in our country we are all poets
of loss
of memory
of madness
History has no time to repeat
It is unfinished where we live
Lingering

Like you and me in that moment
              When near the creaking door
              that lead to orchards,
              My hem torn
              and those apples we gathered
              in my halam
Your feet covered with leaves and ash
I asked you, what will become of us ?
You said, i love the winter in your eyes

Audacity of hypocrisy

Aesop, the Hellenistic slave, narrated a profound tale in the winter of 6th century BC. The story is simple but the message remains relevant 2700 winters later. A Bee, queen of the hive, buzzed her way to Mt Olympus to present Jupiter some fresh honey. Jupiter, delighted with the offering, promised to give her whatever she wanted in return. The Bee thought for a while and then said, “Please give me a stinger, so that I can hurt whoever might come to take my honey.”
Jupiter didn’t quite like the Bee’s desire to hurt people, but he had made a promise and had to keep it. So he answered: “I hereby give you the stinger you want, but use it at your own risk. For you may only use it once, and it shall break off in the wound you make. Thus you will die from the loss of it.” Right-wing Kashmiri Pandit groups have taken recourse to the stinger, over and over again. Cloaked in nothing but nuisance value, the loss is, in plain words, their very own.
I don’t frankly admire the Mirwaiz too much. I think he reeks of an elitist with all those expensive caps and well-pressed Kameez-yazars [Pathani dresses] but he is an important voice, however rapidly he talks on TV. The fact that some goon in ill-fitting pants will awkwardly lunge at the spiritual head of a huge section of Kashmiris is such a travesty. What compounds the pain further is the sight of neo-Nazi style fellow Kashmiris, cheering the mobsters on. Hell what have we become?
Heckling and assault on dissenting voices has become the new bench-mark of the largest democracy in the world. If instant 2-minute TV fame is your idea to spend a dull Thursday afternoon, then all you got to do is this: Rush to the nearest Kashmir seminar in town and behave like an undomesticated mare, kicking away at everyone. Bare your teeth menacingly and go ahead and smack the speaker. In no time the robot-like cameramen will have your attention. And Eureka: You are a nationalist. An ultra-nationalist, if you please. Friends can see you on telly. Simple.
One wonders if this is the educated, liberal, brainy, respected Pandits who once inspired awe. Not to mention an overwhelming majority of Kashmiri Pandits do retain their secular ethics and cultural upbringing. Somewhere in the melee (post the exodus, which is such a shameful chapter) several second generation KPs mingled with the rougher crowd. Soon they would become the flag-waving, uncouth sloganeering jokers in the pack. What is transpiring at the moment is part of the same transmutation.
Lately it has become quite fashionable to dub anyone ‘enemy of the state’ as soon as something displeasing is said. Ofcourse there are heart-aches, ofcourse there is displacement, ofcourse there are serious agreements but a passado at everyone who holds a position contrary to your own makes you a crack-pot. To shoot a man because one disagrees with his interpretation of Darwin or Hegel is a sinister tribute to the supremacy of ideas in human affairs — but a tribute nevertheless, the literary critic Steiner said sometime back. One only agrees.

Come, come again, whoever you are,

come!Heathen, fire worshipper or idolatrous, come!

Come even if you broke your penitence a hundred times,

Ours is the portal of hope, come as you are.
